you can lower the seat take the skin off it and cut some fome out of it or buy

You ought to be able to lower the height of any bike.
Drop the forks through the crowns a little and invest in a shock with a smaller eye to eye length than your last one.
It'll mean spunking some cash on a new shock but i don't know how adjustable zzr's are in the shock department as standard.
could always get someone to knock you up a new linkage as a last resort.
There is always a way to fix a problem ...... just depends how badly you want it fixed.

Check the Eye to eye length, is it adjustable? If not can the length of the shank be adjusted............for the price of a hackswaw and file you may be able to drop the height, and dont forget to change the fork heights to match.

Dig a 6" trough from where you are setting off to where you are going and ride in it. This will have the same effect as having extensions put in your legs but will be much less painful.
